Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
DAY ONE: Examine the Blueprint
What is Jesus saying in this passage? What do you think His heart was when He said, “Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.” How do the surrounding chapters and verses (i.e., the Beatitudes in Matthew 5-7) give us insight into what Jesus meant?
DAY TWO: Discuss the Design
What’s missing from your life? Are you more willing to ask God to do His will in certain areas, but not others? Be specific. As you consider Matthew 5-7, which areas come most naturally? Which areas are most difficult?
DAY THREE: Start the Demolition
As you meditate on this verse, what’s scary to you? What might happen if you ask God to do His will in every area of your life?
DAY FOUR: Structure Repair
What is one change you can make this week in your heart and attitude as you wholeheartedly ask God that His will be done? Make a list in your journal or discuss with your family the areas of your life in which you need to trust God more.
DAY FIVE: Finishing Touches
How has God been speaking to you this week about your renovation? In what areas of your life do you need to ask Him to do a renovation so you are more willing to seek His will and not your own?
